Item Description

Found in many cultures around the world, the Green Man is often related to natural vegetative deities springing up in different cultures throughout the ages. Primarily it is interpreted as a symbol of rebirth, or `renaissance`, representing the cycles of growth throughout the year. Made of cold cast resin, this set of 4 Greenman `Seasons` wall plaques features the Greenman in 4 different looks throughout the year. Winter is represented with Hawthorn berries, while Summer is represented by a female, and her leafy countenance is full of blooming flowers and buds, all accented in metallic gold enamel. Autumn is shown with berries, a butterfly and wonderful fall color, and spring is represented by bright green foliage, accented in early spring golden accents. All four plaques have a wonderful bronzed finish, to give them the cool look of metal. Each plaque measures approximately 5 inches by 4 inches. They hang like a picture, with a single screw or nail needed for each one.
