The Claddagh`s distinctive design features two hands clasping a heart, and usually surmounted by a crown. The elements of this symbol are often said to correspond to the qualities of love (the heart), friendship (the hands), and loyalty (the crown). This cool gold plated tie bar features a claddagh symbol on the front. The claddagh is 7/16 an inch high, 3/4 of an inch wide, and the tie bar itself is 2 inches wide, with a toothed clip on the back. It makes a great gift for anyone with Irish heritage.
